Healthy Mind Project

Age group: 11-18s

Our peer support group is aimed at those young people who have accessed the Listening Service. This is their chance to meet peers in similar circumstances and engage in weekly activities such as crafts, music, and peer-mentoring training. As youth workers with a passion for mental wellbeing, we facilitate a supportive environment where young people can ask questions about mental health and offer advice and companionship to their peers.

Listening Service

Age group: 11-18s

Our free Listening Service is aimed at young people who are experiencing low-level mental health difficulties. We offer one-to-one support either in-person or through Facebook chat. We are not counsellors, but friendly youth workers with Psychology-based backgrounds who can offer a safe, supportive environment where we will listen without judging. Parents and professionals can email us at to refer a young person, and young people can refer themselves by messaging our Facebook page:

Age group: 10-18s

Connect is a free 10 week course designed to broaden young people’s social circles through specifically chosen activities. Activities include music, theatre and rock-climbing and are designed to strengthen social skills such as trust, communication, and dealing with emotions. There are three groups; 10-12’s, 13-18’s and SEND (special educational needs and disabilities, aged 10-18), and sessions run on weekday evenings. This course was made possible thanks to funding from Her Majesty’s Government and players of the National Lottery.
